Living with Change C.A.R.E.S.
Through C.A.R.E.S. Living with Change envisions a community of acceptance for all. The elements of the Center for Excellence, Advocacy, Resources, Education, and Support form the mechanism by which Living with Change will work toward ushering in a future of inclusion and equity for the transgender community.
Center for Excellence
Living with Change is partnering with Cinicnnati Children’s Hospital, bolstering the existing infrastructure of their transgender clinic, and providing greater access to necessary medical care.
Advocacy
While the Living with Change Foundation intends not to be a political organization, we realize that many of the issues regarding the transgender community, often unnecessarily, become politicized and we will partner with others to advocate for transgender people and ensure their rights are not absconded.
Resource
While trainings may be at the center of our educational undertaking, we recognize that one training is not sufficient to make lasting change and advances in education. It is for this reason that we offer wide range of resources and consultation. We form intentional partnerships with schools, corporations, businesses, and other non-profits in order to be a continual resource on transgender issues.
Education
We offer a wide range of trainings, workshops, in-class presentations, and invited talks to equip people with the tools necessary to increase awareness and inclusive practices to create more equitable spaces for transgender youth and their families. Living with Change holds the belief that effective change comes through continual education.
Support
Despite the great achievements that can be made through the previous elements above, a key missing element is support of the transgender youth and their families. The Living with Change Foundation is assuming the facilitation of the support group previously run by those of CCHMC. We hope to expand upon this amazing group and add new locations that may be more accessible for those that cannot currently attend due to distance.
